About Dorea Ministries

Dorea Ministries is in its fourth season. Like all other seasons before this one, we are taking the time to remember that God is both the builder and the foundation of this ministry. Over the years He has been shaping this ministry for the purposes of equipping, evangelizing, and encouraging. As we have followed God's blueprint for this ministry, it has become apparent that we are expanding. Last semester 15 dancers were involved in Dorea Ministries. We are looking forward to spreading the gift of Jesus Christ in our new studio. By faith, we are praying for more students to join us in our community classes, so that a new generation of worshipers of Jehovah God will be raised up.

Dorea Dance Company is an audition based ministry team who has successfully completed all dance and spiritual enrichment requirements.  The Company exists for two primary purposes: To know Christ and to make Him known.  To effectively fulfill these purposes dancers minister in a variety of settings including schools, churches, community events, and Dorea Ministries' productions.

Memorial Day Weekend, Dorea traveled to Southeast Texas to minister to several groups. Saturday, May 23, Tamera spoke at a ladies' day at the Gulf Avenue Church of Christ in Groves, TX. While speaking, Tamera used the girls in various numbers to minister to the women with dance, drama, and unity numbers. The theme was "When Life Gives You Lemons..." The idea was conveyed that when life really does give you lemons you PRAISE HIM anyway, just like Job. 

While in the SE Texas area the girls were able to see alligators (and taste fried alligator!) and visit the beach.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, supernaturally inspired. That it is inerrant in the original manuscripts and preserved by God in its verbal, plenary inspiration; and that it is a divinely authoritative standard for every age and every life.

We believe that the Godhead exists eternally in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and that these three are one God.

We believe that God is the absolute and sole creator of the universe and that creation was by divine command.

We believe that God, by His sovereign choice and out of love for men, sent Christ into the world to save sinners.

We believe that Jesus Christ in the flesh was both God and man. That He was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life; that He was crucified, died as a penalty for our sins, and was raised from the dead bodily on the third day. Later, He ascended to the Father's right hand where He is the head of the church and intercedes for believers, and from whence He is coming again personally, bodily, and visibly to this earth.

We believe that since in His death, by His shed blood, the Lord Jesus Christ made a perfect atonement for sin, redeeming us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. Men are saved and justified on the simple and single ground of the shed blood.

We believe that such salvation with its forgiveness of sins, its impartation of a new nature, and its hope of eternal life, is entirely apart from man's effort and is of pure grace.

We believe that it is the goal of every Christian to become a disciple of Christ by growing toward spiritual maturity through the knowledge of and obedience to the Word of God and submission to the Holy Spirit, who indwells and seals all believers at the moment of salvation. Believers must seek the fullness of the Spirit since it is His influence that will bring about victorious Christian living on earth.
