What is the Dorea Dance Company?

The Dance Company is an audition-based ministry team who has successfully completed all dance and spiritual enrichment audition requirements.  The Company exists for two primary purposes: To know Christ and to make Him known.  To effectively fulfill these purposes dancers minister in a variety of settings including schools, churches, community events, and Dorea Ministries productions.

 

What are the audition requirements for Dorea Dance Company?

Students interested in auditioning for Dorea Dance Company must be able to perform a variety of turns, jumps, and combinations for both ballet and jazz.  Dancers must demonstrate an ability to dance to a variety of musical styles.  Students must also demonstrate choreography skills in performance of an original piece.  Intro to the Worship Arts, a class offered through Resonate Studios, must be successfully completed prior to auditioning for Dorea Dance Company.

 

What are the financial requirements for being a member of Dorea Dance Company?

A fee of $35 will be due at the beginning of each month to cover costuming, production, and facility costs.  Travel fees will be collected prior to each ministry event located 10 miles outside of Keller.

 

How can I assist in preparing my child for Dorea Dance Company? 

All classes offered through Resonate Artistic Studios will provide your child with the necessary tools for auditions, including all spiritual enrichment, dance and choreography requirements.

The Junior Dorea Dance Company class is called 3 Moves. If your child is in 2nd-5th grade this class is an excellent opportunity to prepare him or her for future auditions. This class also performs as a part of Dorea Ministries' Christmas and Easter productions.

How can my child be involved with Dorea Ministries if she is not a member of Dorea Dance Company? 

Resonate Artistic Studios is an outreach project of Dorea Ministries.  The studio offers instructional classes on the worship arts, including dance, drama, and more. Resonate Studios also provides service opportunities in which you or your child may wish to participate.

 

How can I support Dorea Ministries?

We appreciate your desire to partner with us. Ultimately, we need your prayers.  Prayer partners are needed to pray for both in-reach (to believers) and outreach (to non-believers) opportunities.  We also need help financially.  In order to effectively carry out our mission statement, we need financial partners.
