Tamera Smith
Artistic Director

Tamera Smith is the Artistic Director and founder of Dorea Ministries. She is passionate about worship of the Almighty God. It is her desire to see the arts returned to their rightful owner: Elohim, Creator God.

Tamera is a graduate of Harding University, with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders. Shortly after receiving her Masters degree from Louisiana State University, she moved to Texas to work as a speech-language pathologist. However, her true vocation of ministering to believers and non-believers alike began many years before. Tamera began speaking at conferences, women's events, and for a variety of organizations when she was just in high school. She continued her passion for sharing the Word of God throughout college where she was invited to conduct bible studies and speak at various seminars.

In 2001, Tamera returned to her home in South Louisiana where she led worship at a local church before relocating. Although she was no longer conducting worship services, her zeal for leading others to know the Lord through worship did not wane. In 2004 while at a routine choir practice, she was asked to choreograph a dance for a Christmas cantata. What began as an exciting opportunity to teach dance for Jesus grew into a ministry that not only teaches students about worship, but also teaches them about being the worship themselves.

The Lord has incorporated Tamera's passions for worship and sharing the Bible into one ministry. She continues to choreograph for worship services and ministry events and provide instruction on developing choreography from a biblical perspective to her students. Tamera has instructed students in a series of courses including "Praise Dance 101," "Intercessory Worship: Enter His Presence," "In Spirit and In Truth: Every Battle Won," and weekly classes for members of Dorea Ministries.

The message of the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ is being proclaimed through Dorea Ministries as students continue to "praise Him in the dance."

Alison Willis
Spiritual Development Coordinator

Alison Willis is the Spiritual Development Coordinator of Dorea Ministries.

Alison went to school at Abilene Christian University and received a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. After graduating in May 2003, she and her husband moved to central China to do vocational ministry. Alison lived and worked in China for 3 years, teaching English in the universities, working to build up the believers in the faith, and introducing the Father to the many who had never heard of Him. During this time, the Father awoke her passion for teaching His Word to others. She quickly started classes in her home for the Chinese to come and learn about the Father creating discussions about the Bible using various books, movies, and songs. Alison soon realized a need to build up the other foreign teachers in the city, so she also led the American women in weekly Bible studies.

After returning to the States in 2006, Alison began working at a school in south Fort Worth teaching English to 5th, 7th, and 8th graders. She is currently working at Faith Christian School in Grapevine, TX teaching 7th and 8th grade English.

In January 2007, Alison began work with Dorea, being assigned the title "Spiritual Development Coordinator." Thrilled to be able to use the passion stored within her again, she used the weekly time with Dorea opening the Word, discussing the connections to the students' lives and praying with and for them. Alison desires to do all she can to help the members of Dorea Ministries develop strong relationships with the Lord so they in turn can go out and minister to others.

Alison has spoken at two women's meetings about Trusting God and the Holy Spirit. She has taught women's classes on Prayer, The Holy Spirit, How to Grow Our Faith, Women in the Bible, Finding and Fulfilling our Purpose in Life, and recently co-taught a class with Tamera Smith about Spiritual Warfare.
